WHY USE US?

When a couple divorce and are unable to agree what happens to their money and property then the court has to decide between them. The court will not just look at whose property it is currently, but also has power to order either party to pay some of it over to the other one.

So in a divorcing situation ownership of property does not really matter too much when splitting the property. A judge will look more at what he considers to be overall fairness than who happens to own the property beforehand.
