Using the law and legal processes often starts off with a very fraught, emotional or angry situation. There's nothing wrong with that, provided you do your best to keep things in proportion and don't go spending money that you might regret later.
Always try your best to keep your head in control of your heart. Consider whether the expense of legal processes is worth it. What benefit are you going to get as a result of spending on legal fees? Look at it in crude financial terms. Is it worth it? If it isn't, then not everything can be crudely reduced to monetary terms and so you might think it's still worth it anyway for other reasons; that decision is to do with values, not law, not economics and no lawyer or anybody else can advise you about these dilemnas. Only you can decide how much you think it is justified spending on legal processes.
