In the case of the conditional fee agreement, a success fee is calculated as a percentage of the lawyer's normal fee, up to 100%. So in other words, under a conditional fee agreement the total amount paid in fees to the lawyer could be as much as double what his normal fee would have been if it had not been a no win no fee agreement.
