You sometimes see advertised in the papers, etc, sales of so-called Lordships of the Manor. These are said to have lingered on from medieval times, although they have been largely forgotten about in the interim. There is in fact good reason to doubt the provens of many of these titles and so it is important to take expert advice on the subject and make sure that if you are contemplating buying one of these you know exactly what you are getting for your money.
