WHY USE US?

If you have a judgment against somebody and they are in paid employment you are entitled to apply to the court for what is called an Attachment of Earnings Order. In effect, this is an Order that is addressed to the debtor's employer instructing the employer to make deductions from the salary, and pay those deductions to you instead in settlement of the debt.

There are very detailed rules about how much of a salary you are allowed to grab in this fashion, you cannot grab the whole salary for example and leave the debtor destitute, but sometimes the prospect of the embarrassment of having their employer served with such an order can be enough to make a debtor pay up if they have the money.
