Consideration time is very important and as a general rule the more consideration time goes into a job the better the job is done, but at the cost of greater expense.
In a sense no amount of consideration time is ever enough, because there is always more that can be done if you think hard enough and the budget can stand it. In the real world however the ideal and the budget often conflict and so a judgement has to be made as to which comes first. You can rely on your lawyer to make that judgement for you, or if you prefer you can set a budget that will not be exceeded without your prior authority.
