WHY USE US?

A witness must sign a written statement of his evidence first. Exceptions to this are very rare.

A written witness statement must be in the form prescribed by law, and the witness can be prosecuted if he does not tell the truth in the statement.

The statement must be of facts, not opinions. The facts must be facts that the witness knows of not just what he has been told by someone else, and the statement must say how the witness knows the facts (eg 'I saw it myself').
