Wilsons Solicitors are offering local bonfire organisers extra fuel for free, by letting them burn their archives!
'As solicitors we produce tons and tons of paper.' explains John Wilson the founder of the firm 'We keep in our archives for a few years but then eventually we shred it and bury it in a hole in the ground. This year we thought why not let people burn it on bonfire night instead? This will be environmental, and save us destruction costs, so we can use the money saved to donate to the Lord Mayor's charity appeal.'
'Confidentiality is extremely important to us and so the papers will still be thoroughly shredded before leaving our premises so that nobody will be able to read anything on them, and they will only go to responsible bona fide bonfire organisers to guarantee their destruction.'
Any bonfire organiser who would like some of this shredded paper should call Steve Hobson, the firms archivist, on Bradford (01274) 693 600.
