Our Accreditation: Investors in People We hold the prestigious ‘Investors in People’ award. This has been awarded to us in recognition of our high standards in training and development of all our staff, and helps to keep the quality of the service we offer to a high standard. ISO 9001 We are also certified to the prestigious International Standards Organisation standard no. 9001:2000 (formerly known as BSI 5750). This is in recognition of our high standards of management and efficiency. British Standards Institute (BSI) Our ISO 9001 award has been awarded to us by the British Standards Institute. Law Society As solicitors we are regulated and authorised by the Law Society in everything we do. They operate complaints and redress schemes, in case our internal feedback procedure does not produce a result satisfactory to you. Data Protection – The Information Commissioner We use computers in the course of our work and comply fully with the requirements of the data protection legislation. Financial Services Authority (FSA) We are also included on a register kept by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) so that we can carry on insurance mediation activity, which is broadly the advising on selling and administration of insurance contracts. We are not regulated by the FSA though. We are regulated solely by the Law Society. The FSA register can be accessed via the FSA website on www.fsa.gov.uk/register. Broadly speaking the only insurance we deal with is that which we come across in the normal course of our work as solicitors. Most often this is house title insurance. When it comes to title insurance we only select products from a limited number of insurers. Feel free to ask us if you would like to know which they are. We are not, however, tied to any insurance company or otherwise contractually obliged to do business this way. We do not have any interest in recommending any particular policy or product. Please bear in mind that the fact that you have the benefit of any insurance policy should not be revealed to anyone else. If you do reveal this then the insurance company may refuse to pay a claim.
